Maggie and AJ’s first day as husband and wife happened as a destination wedding at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos. The couple who live in Philadelphia wanted a beach venue that offered superb catering services and Grand Fiesta Americana was the perfect setting for their first life as a married couple.
The couple met 6 years ago at work. They went on a few group dates with other people before deciding to make it official. AJ took the next step and proposed to Maggie in October 2020 in Catalina Island.
The couple was very clear that they wanted a weekend wedding together with their closest family and friends. They wanted to experience Cabo with a full weekend party as a celebration of their love.
Planning for the wedding started early. The couple was clear that they wanted a simple wedding and that they were not big on decorations. They wanted an understated affair with amazing lighting to highlight the love and romance in the air. Thanks to the couple’s flexibility, we were able to execute their dream simple wedding with ease.
When Maggie and AJ were planning a wedding at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos, they were adamant at keeping the whole affair simple. They wanted a low key beach ceremony with good lighting at the reception.
The couple got their wish for a simple and fun destination wedding at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos and stress free wedding weekend. This is not to say that the wedding pushed through without any hurdles and hiccups. Fortunately, as their dedicated Cabo wedding planner, we are 100% committed to solving problems efficiently with our ingenuity, venue coordination and vendor communication. In the end, we were all delighted that the entire occasion went smoothly and within budget.
This is perhaps one of the simplest weddings we have ever organized and we adore how pure and lovely it turned out! Altar decorations were kept at a minimum with white flowers complementing the beach background. White flowers were also used as centerpieces for the reception.
A beachside Grand Fiesta Americana Cabo San Lucas wedding was the perfect match for the couple’s request for simplicity. The whole ceremony took place on the white sand beaches just before sunset.
As requested, romantic lighting came via strings of lights all around the wedding venue and dance floor that also created a fiesta atmosphere in celebration of their happy union.
The beach has always been special to Maggie and AJ. After their engagement at Catalina Island, they chose Cabo not only because it’s a romantic wedding destination but also because they wanted to share their experience with the city to their family and friends.
A wedding weekend was in the works and celebrations started off with a rehearsal dinner catered by an Argentinian steak restaurant. The night ended on a romantic and happy note with a bonfire at the resort.
To cap off a wonderful weekend and to extend their happiness with their family and friends, the couple rented a catamaran for a cruise around the bay during sunset to wrap up the weekend.
This was the perfect beginning for Maggie and AJ – a sentimental, simple and sophisticated Cabo San Lucas wedding. We can’t take all the credit for that, as we had assistance from some fabulous local vendors. Photos were taken by Maria Lopez, the romantic lighting they requested was provided by Let It Be, and DJ Adán Mijares presided over the music. Their efforts and the couple’s vision for a minimalist wedding was the perfect beginning to a 6-year romance.
