Marriage, Martinis & Mexican Traditions
The day began by sharing their special moment with close family, all in the spirit of Sara’s hispanic heritage. The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony for family only at the historic Mision de Añuiti Church in San Jose. The couple and their party, composed of 25 family members, were present for the nuptials followed by a culturally Mexican cuisine luncheon after which the couple made their getaway in a classic car.
Everyone was reunited in the evening for a fabulous Mexican-themed Welcome Fiesta, featuring a raw bar feast for the cocktail hour including local oysters, shrimp, a champagne cart to pair with the seafood and an Espresso Martini station.
The soiree that followed was a high point for all, including dinner and dancing under market lights and stars.
Star of The Show
For an extremely detailed wedding, there is no question that this couple chose the right Cabo San Lucas wedding planner, Cristy Cabrera. Cristy catered to all of their needs and ensured all the pieces were put together perfectly. The couple only had good things to say about their destination wedding planner.
“Gabby and Cristina were absolutely incredible. They kept us on pace the entire way, even when we got caught up in life. They put a wedding together that truly reflected my wife and I. They listened to every word we said throughout the process and by the end I felt like they were reading our minds! They knew exactly what we needed before we did. We interviewed a few wedding planners and it was hard to choose but within a few weeks of working with them, I knew they were a dream team. I can’t thank them enough for how perfect everything was. At the end of the day…My wife was happy—->I was happy.” – Chris.
The Cape Wedding Venue
The Cape is no doubt one of the best places to host a destination wedding weekend. The resort is an ideal place to relax, unwind, and spend quality time together in a stunning setting. It was indeed the best place to celebrate Sara’s Mexican heritage with its unique mix of mid-century modern and traditional Mexican craft set against a natural landscape of ocean and craggy rock.
